​​​​Sara Stenlund is a classically trained sculptor, educated in the 19th-century academic tradition at The Florence Academy of Art. Her work combines technical precision with a contemporary artistic sensibility, extending beyond the human figure into symbolic and abstract forms.

Working primarily in clay before casting in materials such as bronze and concrete, her process is grounded in craftsmanship and durability, suited for long term public installations. Sara sculptures are characterized by a strong sense of presence, material integrity, and sensitivity to site and context.

Since completing her training, Stenlund has worked internationally as both artist and educator, including leading the sculpture program at the Barcelona Academy of Art. Today she is based in Malmö, in south Sweden.

Her practice explores themes of human experience, transformation, and the relationship between the visible and the unseen, translated into forms that engage both public space and individual perception.
